More than just a pet, Zae has become a caretaker in her own right. Instinctively, she understands her role in the family watching over Brittany’s 19-month-old daughter and seems to know when to offer comfort.
Brittany, can you introduce us to your pet?
Zae is our family cat. We’re not to sure how old she is since she came to our family as a stray.
What is your pet’s most endearing or amusing trait?
Zae is very much her own woman. For the most part, she decides how her day is going to go. When she wants affection, she comes on over, rubbing against my leg.

What is a typical day like for your pet?
I’ve never been to sure what she’s up to during the day when no one’s home. But something’s happening because she is in very different moods when I come home. Some days, she is highly affectionate; others, she’ll just look up and wonder why we’ve come in and interrupted her. “Me Time.
